The ex-One Direction member and his fiancee, Maya Henry, reportedly called it quits for the second time since they started dating three years ago.

A rep from Payne’s camp confirmed the breakup to PEOPLE, who claimed that the duo separated over a month ago.

Although neither party has addressed the separation news, 22-year-old Henry recently commented on a picture posted on a fan account.

While making it clear that she loved her fans, she asked them to “please stop sending” her pictures of her fiancé wrapped around another woman. In her words:

“I love all of the fans so much but please stop sending me these pictures of my fiancé wrapped around another woman. This is not me and it’s hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now.”

According to Cosmopolitan, the alleged former couple was first said to be an item in 2018. Later in 2019, Henry dropped several images of her and her man in different loved-up positions.

Almost a year after going public, the couple’s relationship got trailed by rumors of a breakup, however, Payne proved naysayers wrong when he asked his then-girlfriend to marry him in August 2020.

Gushing about her on Good Morning America, Payne revealed that he was in a happy place and things were good. He also said that he had found somebody who was both his partner and best friend – a situation that had changed things for him.

Nevertheless, that romance didn’t last too long as the duo called it off in June 2021, with Payne claiming he’s “just not been very good at relationships.”

A source reportedly claimed that the pair took time away from each other due to their busy schedules and lack of proper communication.

By July, fans assumed that the “They Don’t Know About Us” singer was trying to win the love of his life back thanks to some cryptic social media posts.

It appeared they weren’t entirely wrong as the duo was seen leaving a luxury yacht party in St. Tropez in August.

They eventually made an official comeback as a couple on the red carpet in October of the same year at a London Fashion Week event. Excited fans might be feeling the pangs of betrayal once again as the news of their second split circulates on news media.

The Blast earlier reported that the award-winning singer had some things to say about the fiasco between Chris Rock and Will Smith at the 94th annual Academy Awards.

Fans can recall that Smith climbed the stage where Rock was hosting during the ceremony and slapped him over his comments about his wife, Jada’s hair.

Hours after the incident, Payne had an interview with Good Morning Britain where he said that he felt that whatever Smith did, he had the right to do. He added that he thought that there were three losers in that fight.

The “End of the Day” singer added that even though it was a decisive moment watching Smith give his speech for his Best Actor In a Leading Role award, it was unfortunate.

Despite that, Payne revealed that the moment had him abandoning his seat at the ceremony and also hurt him deeply.

Although the award would be Smith’s first win after several years of nominations, he stands to lose it all over his actions. After slapping his Hollywood colleague on stage, the “Hitch” star breached the Oscars code of conduct.

The Academy publicized its code of conduct in 2017 following the multiple sexual misconduct scandals that rocked the Hollywood scene at the time.

The Academy claims that the rules emphasize the importance of “upholding the Academy’s values like inclusion, fostering supportive environments, and “respect for human dignity.” Amid all the debacle, Rock refused to file charges against Smith.
