Axl Rose Dedicates Guns N’ Roses’ Tour To Late Foo Fighters Drummer Taylor Hawkins
On March 25, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away in Columbia. Emergency services had been summoned to his hotel room after he complained of chest pain. However, he was found deceased in his hotel room.
A forensic investigation revealed several different types of drugs in his body, including heroin, antidepressants, and morphine, among others, which likely triggered an overdose. However, forensic analysts also discovered that Hawkins’ heart weighed 600 grams – double the weight of an average man’s heart – at the time of his death.

Many famous friends in the industry had dedicated concert performances to him and sent out messages of condolences. Recently, Axl Rose decided to dedicate an entire Guns N’ Roses tour in memory of the late drummer.

In a message shared by stereogum, “Axl Rose dedicated Guns N’ Roses’ tour to Taylor Hawkins and thanked fans for supporting Ukraine.”
The band first began by calling their decision to honor Taylor Hawkins a “simple gesture” to “a really great guy.”
“It’s just a simple gesture n’ it’s awkward dealing with the gravity of something like this but in an effort to pay r respects we’d like to dedicate this tour to our friends Taylor Hawkins,” they wrote. “Taylor was a really great guy and it was always great to see him! He was a great n’ always welcome part of touring these last few years! This is such a horrible thing and r hearts go out to his family, friends, and mates, and everyone who loved him.”
Rose also went one step further to thank fans for supporting Ukraine amid their war with Russia, which started back in February.
“I’d also like to thank everyone for showing such love and support during the tour for the people of Ukraine and their noble and horrifying fight for freedom against an increasingly totalitarian regime ran by a callous, lying, murderous, little man with outdated ambitions and no regard for human life.”
One user commented, “It’s amazing how mature Axl has become. It’s nice to see.”
Another user wrote, “It’s always nice to see aging rockers go the way of Millie Nelson instead of Ted Nugent.”
“He couldn’t be bothered to spell ‘our,’” one user pointed out, to which another user replied, “He’s a busy man.”
Axl Rose isn’t the only one who dedicated a tour to the late Foo Fighters drummer. Back in June, the Foo Fighters announced a special tribute concert in honor of their late bandmate.

The L.A. concert will be held on Tuesday, September 27, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.
The line-up includes a star-studded list of Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland, Miley Cyrus, Omar Hakim, Joshua Homme, Joan Jett, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Alanis Morissette, Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx, Chad Smith, Luke Spiller, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Jon Theodore, Wolfgang Von Halen, Brad Wilk, Pat Wilson, and a special appearance by Chevy Metal.

At the bottom of the poster, fans will recognize some familiar names between the Los Angeles show and the London show. The London show will include performers Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland, Liam Gallagher, Omar Hakim, Joshua Homme, Chrissie Hynde, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Supergrass, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Wolfgang Van Halen, and Chevy Metal.
The tribute concert will also include a special appearance by “The Closer” comedian Dave Chappelle, which has drawn some controversy among fans.
The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in the UK chosen by the Hawkins family. Beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly.
