‘Halloween Ends’ Jamie Lee Curtis Returns To Battle Michael Myers One Last Time

When the Halloween franchise was relaunched in 2018, many horror fans wanted to see Michael Myers finally get what was coming to him. But after the events of that film and the 2021 sequel, ‘Halloween Kills’, things were bleek at best that we were going to see Michael Myers defeated once and for all.

But now with the release of the first trailer of ‘Halloween Ends’, it looks like we finally might get our wish as Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays the iconic scream queen, Laurie Strode is out to get the job done!

“Halloween Ends” for those that are superstitious is the 13th installment in the “Halloween” slasher film franchise. The recent films follow the chronology that was established by 2018’s “Halloween,” which ignored every other film from the series aside from John Carpenter’s 1978 original masterpiece. Upon finishing the final film in the series, Curtis wrote on Instagram, “I love this crew and cast and I will miss you all. We can’t wait for the fans to see the movie.”

And after the events of ‘Halloween Kills’, we can’t wait ourselves as that was a bloody affair unlike anything we ever saw in the franchise to this point. The films director, David Gordon Green spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and teased what we are in for exclaiming, “[Halloween Ends is] very different in tone from Halloween [2018] and Halloween Kills, and I think that’s part of my self-indulgence. I very often jump around in genres and explore different themes and characters through movies, I just came up with a new twist ending on the ending that existed a couple weeks ago, and that’s something that only I hold the piece of paper that has those words on it.”

The ending, whether a twist or not is going to put up a pretty nice bow to things as we see an epic fight takes place between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers in the new trailer that just dropped that will keep our hearts pounding a mile a minute.

Along with a bunch of guaranteed scares and tons of bloodshed, it seems like anything is bound to happen as Halloween is going to finally end, but will it be a happy ending?

After 45 years of endless and terrifying horror, the epitome of evil, Michael Myers may have finally met his match. The film, ‘Halloween Ends’, has just dropped their first trailer and it promises that this is the final confrontation between Myers and Laurie Strode, where only one can survive. Where we have to ask, would they even dare have Michael Myers win?

Film icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, the role that launched her career into superstardom. And if this is the last time, she comes out hot as she exclaims to her forever foe, “Come get me, motherfucker!” Which then leads to a fight that will most certainly keep us on the edge of our seats as the movie franchise has the last four decades.

‘Halloween Ends’ will follow four years after the events of last year’s ‘Halloween Kills’, where the masked serial killer came out pretty well in the win column by surviving yet again by killing and terrorizing everyone that crossed his path. Laurie who is now living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) is looking to finish her memoir. Haddonfield, Illinois has been safe without the presence of Michael Myers returning to where Laurie may be able to embrace a new life of calm and safety. But murder and mayhem returns when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy BoysVirgin River), is accused of killing a young boy he was babysitting.

That leads to Myers eventual return, which now may be his last. Because if anything, it is the last film for Jamie Lee Curtis in the franchise. When filming wrapped, she took to her Instagram to share her feelings on things finally coming to an end as she shared, “A bittersweet END for me on the ‘Halloween’ movies, I’ve made great friends and have collaborated with wonderful artists on these three movies and today my part in the film has been completed and with it the END for me of this trilogy.”

Now if this truly is the end, we have really enjoyed the ride. And if it continues on the same path as ‘Halloween’ and ‘Halloween Kills’, then ‘Halloween Ends’ is going to be a fight for the ages. Who will win?

We’ll all find out when ‘Halloween Ends’ is released on October 14th, 2022.
