New Titans Season 4 Star Praises Brother Blood Villain Costume Fan Art

Joseph Morgan, who is set to join the cast of Titans season 4 as the villainous Brother Blood, praises a recent piece of fan art of him in the role. Based on the DC comics team Teen Titans, Titans is a superhero series developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti that made its original debut on the DC Universe streaming platform in 2018. Starring Brenton Thwaites (Nightwing), Anna Diop (Starfire), Teagan Croft (Raven), Ryan Potter (Beast Boy), Curran Walters (Red Hood), and Joshua Orpin (Superboy), the series has seen the titular team of young superheroes battle a number of DC villains over the years, including Trigon, Deathstroke, and most recently the Batman villain Scarecrow.

Earlier this year, Morgan, who is known for his role as Klaus Mikaelson from The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff series, The Originals, was announced in the role of Sebastian Blood, the power-hungry leader of the Church of Blood. The character has previously appeared on the The CW’s Arrow season 2, played by Kevin Alejandro. Also set to join the cast in the show’s latest season is Claws’ Franka Potente as Mother Mayhem and The A List’s Lisa Ambalavanar as Jinx.

While no announcements have been made about Brother Blood’s potential costume in the show, fan artist Mathias (SmartSheep) recently shared their vision of what the Titans character could look like on Twitter. Morgan himself was quick to reshare the tweet, praising the artist for their work, which shows the actor in a comic-accurate super suit. Check out Morgan’s praise and the original tweet below:

Over the past three seasons, the Titans creative team has been intent on providing a number of costume designs for their characters that not only pay homage to their comic-book origins, but also translate well on screen. From Thwaites’s Nightwing costume reveal to Walters’ appearance as Red Hood, the show has certainly had some memorable costume moments that have been a genuine treat for avid DC fans. As to whether Morgan’s version of Sebastian Blood will manage to don his own comic-accurate costume remains to be seen, and the actor himself has previously played coy when asked about the possibility.

Costumes aside, one thing Titans fans will be keen to see in the new season is a focus on some more traditional Teen Titans villains. The show’s previous season had often found itself accused by some fans of being far too concerned with Batman’s own rogue’s gallery, and with the new trio of villains, the show’s fourth season has a big chance to rectify this. Certainly, viewers will be keen to see what dastardly plans Morgan’s Brother Blood character has planned for the young team of superheroes.
