‘The Gray Man’ Has a Ken Doll Joke About Ryan Gosling – And the Directors Are Explaining the Origin
The Gray Man is now streaming on Netflix and fans are probably going to love the Barbie joke made by Chris Evans.
As you probably already know, Ryan Gosling plays the title character in The Gray Man and he is starring as Ken in the upcoming Barbie live-action movie.
So, was the joke added into the movie after Ryan landed the role of Ken?

Chris’ character Lloyd Hansen is hired to kill Ryan’s character Sierra Six. At one point he tells his team of mercenaries, “Extra ten million to the first guy to put a bullet in this Ken Doll’s brain.”
Hilariously, Ryan had not yet been cast in Barbie when the joke was written!
“It was great timing. But we’d like to say that we encouraged Ryan to embrace his Kenergy. We’re expecting a real Kennaisance,” co-director Joe Russo told Digital Spy.
Co-director Anthony Russo added, “I know it’s hard to believe, but the line pre-dated any involvement whatsoever.”
