Zack Snyder will be making an appearance as himself in an upcoming episode of Teen Titans Go! The Cartoon Network favorite regularly pays tribute to the larger DC Universe and has previously featured cameos from iconic characters such as Wonder Woman, Alfred Pennyworth, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy. The show’s meta-comedy style has even brought President Abraham Lincoln himself to the series a number of times.

Snyder himself began the DC Extended Universe by directing 2013’s Man of Steel, going on to direct Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. The latter raised controversy before and after its release because of its tumultuous production process, as Avengers director Joss Whedon was hired to conduct reshoots in order to lighten the film’s tone, reduce its nearly four-hour running time, and incorporate more humor into the script. Snyder stated that the Justice League released to the public wasn’t reflective of his original vision for the film, leading fans to call for the “Snyder Cut,” which was later released on HBO Max in 2021.

Now, Snyder will star in the 365th episode of Teen Titans Go!, titled “365!” according to THR. The episode will follow the Titans heading to the Warner Bros. Studio lot in an effort to find a director that will make their 365th episode “extra special.” Check out a preview snapshot from the episode below, which will air on Cartoon Network this fall.

Snyder’s inclusion in Teen Titans Go! marks another one of the show’s meta references to the DC Universe and its history. When it first premiered back in 2013, many fans were initially skeptical after seeing the drastic shift in tone and different animation style from the original Teen Titans series, but its tendency to lean into its smart and unique style has actually proven to work in its favor. Next year will mark a decade since the first episode of Teen Titans Go!, and it has already aired for more than double the number of years as its parent series.

As for Snyder, “365!” could mark the last time he has his hand in anything DC-related for a while. Just this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, DC’s Chief Creative Officer confirmed that there are currently “no plans for additional work” with Snyder, despite ongoing fan pressure to continue the SnyderVerse following Zack Snyder’s Justice League. This will come as a disappointment for many, especially considering that the Snyder Cut was the better received film of the two versions, and there really wasn’t any competition. Maybe, Teen Titans Go! can add a little fuel to the fans’ efforts to bring Snyder back into the fold.
