These 20 Athletes Have Cool Non Athletic Talents That Nobody Talks About
These jocks got skills!

Athletes are only seen usually for their athletic talent, and that’s not fair. They are regular people like us who have many talents, despite being incredibly good athletically.

Here are 20 athletes who are excel at non-athletic talents that need to be talked about.

Nnamdi is a pretty cool cat! He was a top cornerback in the NFL the past decade and now is licking his chops in the acting world. His wife is Kerry Washington who can always give him pointers as well.

David Beckham: Fencing

We don’t know how much of a hobby this is for Beckham anymore, but when Will Smith first reported that Beckham and himself have taking on the hobby of fencing with actor Tom Cruise, it was news everywhere.

Grant Hill: Piano

Grant Hill has always been an accomplished pianist, but we seem to talk about his commentating or on-the-court abilities more. Hill has often gone on tour playing piano with wife Tamia, who’s a great vocalist in her own right.

Manny Pacquiao: Singing

Pac-Man is running for president soon, but Manny Pacquiao sings (pretty much anywhere) and is pretty good. His come out music to the ring is actually a song he made himself.

Miles Bridges: Rapping

I know there are other NBA rappers like Dame or even Shaq, but Miles Bridges is the one. He’s a third-year player in the league but needs to use this offseason to spend quality time in the studio.

Herschel Walker: Ballet Dancing

Walker is a great running back, but him having the ability to dance with a professional ballet company is just as impressive. Even though ballet is an athletic talent, I had to place it on the list to show how gifted Walker was in two completely different types of genres of sports.

Shaquille O’Neal: DJ

Shaq is a guy of many talents, whether it’s rapping with Biggie Smalls or on TNT talking hoops with Charles Barkley and crew. But with him DJing under the “DJ Diesel” persona at places like Formula 1 or a concert set, Shaq is a sight to see.

Sean Avery: Fashion Designer

Sean Avery was known for his attitude in hockey, but outside of that, he had great passion in fashion. He modeled at Gap; he interned at Vogue and was even a guest editor of Men’s Vogue.

Meryl Davis: Dancing

Ice Skater Meryl Davis showed us her dancing skills in Dancing with the Stars where she won, posting consistently good numbers. Her winning made her, in my eyes, the greatest woman competitor is DWTS history.

Justin Tucker: Opera Singer

Justin Tucker is the greatest kicker of this generation, but did you know he’s a great opera singer?! He supposedly rehearses before and after every practice.

Serena Williams: Sewing

Serena Williams is not only a Mt. Rushmore-caliber athlete but also an incredible seamstress as well. She began designing and sewing after learning from her mom at age 2. She’s sewn her own clothes from raw materials.

Kyrie Irving: Singing

Before he was self-proclaimed as a “martyr,” people used to love Kyrie’s snapchat videos of himself singing. Hopefully, he can turn the table back one day and give us those classics again.

Misty Copeland: Fashion Design

Misty Copeland is a ballet dancer who shined in the fashion industry as well. Misty Copeland designed her very own collection with Under Armour after years with the company.

Breanna Stewart: Juggling

Juggling is a hidden talent we didn’t know the All Star had until the Olympics games when she showed us in a commercial leading up to Tokyo.

Mookie Betts: Bowling

Mookie Betts is having a hall of fame-caliber run right now, and he’s doing things in bowling thats even hard for professionals. Mookie has recorded two perfect games of bowling under his belt, with one of those coming three months ago in the Lockout.

Anthony Adams: Comedy

Anthony Adams, better known as Spice Adams, is very talented in the comedic world. The numerous fictional characters he’s come up with have made him the only person on the list whose talent is not talked about enough, and is what we know him for more than his athletic ability.

Bianca Belair: Sewing

Bianca Belair is a former University of Tennessee track star and current WWE champion, but one of her more impressive feats is her sewing ability. The picture used above is an example of her work when she sewed her own ESPY dress. She does most of her in-ring gear and truly is the “BEST.”

Ken Griffey Jr.: Photography

Ken Griffey Jr. retired and knew immediately what he wanted to do. He became a professional photographer where he has documented some of the biggest events sports have to offer.

What do you all think of the list?

Did I miss any athletes? Let me know in the comments.
