Jesse Williams is stepping out for the first time at a public event following the leak of his nude scene on Broadway.
The 40-year-old actor was joined by his Take Me Out co-stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Michael Oberholtzer at the 2022 Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Event on Thursday (May 12) at Sofitel in New York City.
The two Jesses and Michael are all nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for their work in the play, which is also up for Best Revival of a Play.
They were seen meeting up with POTUS stars Rachel Dratch and Julie White, who are both up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play
Earlier in the week, an unauthorized video of Jesse going nude on stage in Take Me Out was leaked online and it has been condemned by the theater. A new security system is being installed to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
JTF spoke out on Twitter after the leak.

“I’m appalled by the disrespect shown to the actors of our company whose vulnerability on stage ever night is crucial to Take Me Out. Anyone who applauds or trivializes this behavior has no place in the theater which has always been a safe space for artists & audience members,” Ferguson said. “And truly, if nudity is what you are coming for…you are in for a long boring night. It’s within a challenging 2 and a half hour play with big ideas, beautiful language & remarkable acting from a company of 11 actors that you will have to sit thru as well. You’ll be bored. Trust.”
