WWE Clash At The Castle 2022: Match Card Updates, Start Time, How To Watch, Predictions

The last time WWE held a major stadium event in the UK was Summerslam back in 1992. That changes with Clash at the Castle, taking place on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Principality Stadium. So why mention a castle in the PPV (or PLE) title? Well, the show takes place near Cardiff Castle, and here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming event, from the match card to the start time to how to watch.
The main event of the evening will see Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns defend his title against Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre. On a recent episode of Smackdown, McIntyre was attacked by members of the Bloodline after a match with Sami Zayn. Of course, not only will McIntyre want revenge, he’ll want the title that comes along with it.

As of this writing, there are three championship matches on the Clash at the Castle card. Two Europeans will be battling over the Intercontinental Championship as Gunther defends his title against Sheamus. More matches will be booked in this week.
Start time:
For the first time in a long time, the folks in the UK will get a wrestling event that doesn’t take place during the middle of the night. Sadly, fans in Australia will probably want to check out the event the next morning. Check out the start times around the world below.

- 12 PM CT
- 1 PM ET
- 6 PM BST
- 3 AM AEST (September 4)
How to watch:
If you want to watch Clash at the Castle in the US, you can get it through your satellite or cable provider or watch it on the Peacock streaming service . And while it does have a free tier, you will not be able to watch the WWE event through that. You’ll need a Premium ($5 a month, with ads) or Premium Plus Peacock ($10 a month, no ads) account. Regardless of which tier you choose, there will be a few WWE-related ads throughout the show.
There are multiple ways to watch Peacock . Aside from watching it on mobile devices and on the PC, you can stream the service on Amazon Fire devices, Android TV, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xfinity, and more.
For those abroad watching the PPV, you still get to watch it on the WWE Network, you lucky ducks.

Gunther vs. Sheamus
It’s nice to see the IC title on a PPV. As much as it makes sense to keep the title on Gunther to make him a fighting champion, there’s one thing to keep in mind: Sheamus is one title away from being a Grand Slam Champion, and all he needs is the IC Championship. Sheamus has worked his butt off for the company since he’s been a part of it, and this seems like a layup prediction.
Sheamus wins.
Liv Morgan vs. Shayna Baszler
We’re all still talking about Morgan’s win over Ronda Rousey, where Morgan tapped out before Rousey was pinned–even though the ref counted the pinfall. Refs? Am I right? The audience has turned on Morgan a little bit here and there–although they were championing the heck out of her prior to the win. Baszler is another beast–and former MMA fighter to boot–so we see one of two things happening: Rousey comes out towards the end of the match and beats up Morgan or Morgan gets another wonky win where the ref isn’t paying attention. Either way, it’s not clean.
Morgan wins.
