10 Anthems To Add To Your “Hot Girl Walk” Playlist

By now, we’re probably all aware of the hot girl walk, inspiring us all to turn off TikTok and hit the pavement…but what should we listen to while strolling?

As we’ve hit these dog days of summer, our motivation might be lacking to get in those steps, but don’t fret. I’ve got 10 hot girl anthems that’ll get you off the couch, into your sneakers, and out on the streets.

1. “Super Freaky Girl” by Nicki Minaj

LaFace Records / Via amazon.com

A throwback to the early aughts that will never get old. I’ve had this song on my workout playlist for years. It’ll make you feel powerful and sexy – and that’s all we could ever want from a hot girl walk, am I right, ladies?

4. “Cold Hearted” by Paula Abdul

Virgin Records / Via amazon.com

There’s just something about this song that makes me want to strut down the street with my sunglasses on while pretending I’m in a music video. It’s such a badass song that’s iconic in its own right, but with the Glee version and Jenna Dewan’s performance on Lip Sync Battle?? This song is a hot girl walk MUST.

5. “Rebel Girl” by Bikini Kill

Kill Rock Stars / Via amazon.com

I had to toss some punk into this playlist. I don’t care if punk music isn’t your thing, I promise you this song will get you more amped up than you’ve ever been. Just imagine you’re walking down the street while the line “that girl thinks she’s the queen of the neighborhood/I’ve got news for you: SHE IS!” blasts in your ears. It’s the confidence boost we all need sometimes.

6. “Woman” by Kesha feat. the Dap-Kings Horns

RCA Records / Via amazon.com

There’s a dozen Kesha songs that could’ve been added to this list, but this song in particular is a feminist anthem for the ages. Kesha. Never. Misses.

7. “She’s Kerosene” by The Interrupters

Hellcat/Epitaph / Via amazon.com

The Interrupters are ska-punk masters with the best high-energy songs that are perfect for getting your sweat on. Listen to this song then listen to all their other songs. You’re welcome.

8. “Good 4 U” by Olivia Rodrigo

Geffen Records / Via amazon.com

Is any girl power playlist complete without Olivia Rodrigo? I don’t think so. “Good 4 U” was my most-played song of 2021 and with good reason.

9. “Miss Independent” by Kelly Clarkson

RCA Records / Via amazon.com

I don’t know about you, but “Miss Independent” is one song that I’ll always scream at the top of my lungs, and it’ll make me feel like the baddest bitch alive. Dear Kelly Clarkson, THANK YOU. (Also on an unrelated note, can those chunky highlights please come back in style??)

10. And “Here You Come Again” by Dolly Parton

RCA Viktor / Via amazon.com

Finally, we round out this playlist with the one, the only, Miss Dolly Parton. I could’ve added “9 to 5” to this playlist, but that felt too predictable. “Here You Come Again” always brings a smile to my face and makes me want to frolic around a field (or, you know, go for a walk around the neighborhood).

Here you go! Put on your cutest workout set, slip on your sneakers, pop in your AirPods, and go Hot! Girl! Walk!
