Maren Morris Responds To Tucker Carlson’s Criticism In This Hilarious Way!

Maren Morris claps back!

The country music sensation has had quite a busy week. The “My Church” singer called out influencer Brittany Aldean on Twitter last week over an Instagram post wherein Aldean used made a statement in the captions indirectly referencing parents of transgender youth.

The Blast covered the controversy, detailing the many famous figures who joined Morris in calling out Aldean’s comments, as well as those who came to Aldean’s defense.

Responding to fellow country music musician Cassadee Pope’s tweet, which calls out Aldean and ponders the concept of beauty brands turning a blind eye to using members of the LGBTQIA+ community in their campaigns, Morris wrote, “It’s so easy to like, not be a sc*mbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

How Did Aldean Respond?

Mrs. Jason Aldean took to her Instagram stories on August 26th to comment on Pope’s tweet.

According to Billboard, Aldean, 33, wrote, “Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender affirming care’ is one of the worst evils. I will always support my children and do what I can to preserve their innocence. The other day Memphis wanted to be a dinosaur and tomorrow Navy will want to be a cat. They’re children. Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly that they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of these actions. Love is protecting your child until they are mature enough as an adult to make their own life decisions. Thankful my parents allowed me to go through my tomboy phase without changing my gender.”

The publication also notes “Gender identity is not the same thing as gender expression, i.e. being a ‘tomboy.’

Aldean has subsequently embraced the “Insurrection Barbie” given to her by Morris.

According to our report, she and her fellow influencer friend, Kasi Rosa Wix, are already promoting their line of what Aldean calls “Our Barbie-inspired line” of clothing.

The pull-overs Wix and Aldean model in the Instagram post both influencers shared to their feeds on Wednesday say “Don’t tread on our kids” in the famous pink Barbie font.

Last night Aldean sat down with Fox News host Tucker Carlson to discuss the controversy.

“I was extremely surprised… I never thought there was anything wrong with (my statement). I think I’m advocating for children. I think when you’re older, if you choose to make those decisions, by all means…” Aldean shared. “But children are too young, not mature enough to make those decisions.” (via The Tennesseean)

Carlson didn’t hesitate to reveal his thoughts on Morris during the broadcast, branding her a “lunatic.”

Morris completely embraced Carlson’s comment toward her.

Feedback to the graphic was overwhelmingly positive in the Twitter thread.
