Emphasizing the effect of the Queen’s passing on his immediate family, William wrote, “I, however, have lost a grandmother. And while I will grieve her loss, I also feel incredibly grateful. I have had the benefit of The Queen’s wisdom and reassurance into my fifth decade.”

The now-first in line to the throne further opened up about Her Majesty’s impact and relationship with his wife Kate and their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — writing, “My wife has had twenty years of her guidance and support. My three children have got to spend holidays with her and create memories that will last their whole lives”.

Prince William got candid, admitting that he was aware that the Queen’s passing would eventually happen, but the pain his family felt would take a while to heal. Referring to her as Grannie, the Duke of Cambridge revealed how the Queen stood by him during the saddest and happiest moments of his life.

He also appreciated the Queen for the exemplary life she led during her reign. In rounding up his tribute to his grandmother, Prince William wrote, ” My grandmother famously said that grief was the price we pay for love. All of the sadness we will feel in the coming weeks will be testament to the love we felt for our extraordinary Queen. I will honour her memory by supporting my father, The King, in every way I can.”

The Royals now have Cornwall and the Royal Foundation at Kensington palace added to their list. This update was accounted for on their official Instagram page.

Their bio is written thus, “The official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge and the Royal Foundation, based at Kensington Palace.” The same was written on their Twitter account.

Tradition demands that the eldest son of the reigning British monarch takes ” The Duke of Cornwall” title, while his wife takes the “Duchess” title. Since William is the first son of King Charles III it is only right that he inherits the position.

Coupled with this new position, the Duke and Duchess have been bestowed with the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales. King Charles III originally held the title of Prince Wales until the Queen’s passing on September 8.

On their Instagram page, they are now addressed as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
