Carrie Underwood has stated that she is having the time of her life!

The Grammy Award-winning vocalist is known for her hit songs “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats,” as well as “Cowboy Casanova,” “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” ” Inside Your Heaven,” and “Something in the Water.”

While Underwood’s previous album was released only a year ago, the singer cum fashionista is gearing up to launch another heavy body of work, “Denim & Rhinestones,” which she has characterized as the start of a “fun, happy era” in her life.

Carrie Underwood’s Is Stepping into A New Era

At last weekend’s 2022 iHeartCountry Festival, Underwood chatted with Entertainment Tonight about her life and career since the release of her last album. With many references to her next album “Denim & Rhinestones,” the 39-year-old country music singer noted that she was heading into her new era.

“I love it when I get to make a body of work, and then I get to kinda live that out for a couple of years,” the singer said during the interview.

Underwood wore a bejeweled denim jacket, denim boots, and purple tie-dye shorts to the concert and looked lovely in the photos captured on the red carpet. Her outfit was inspired by the title of her new album, which she disclosed in the interview as well.

“I feel like this is such a fun and happy era for me, so I’m dressing the part. I feel in character, which is just me. I’m just having a blast.”

‘I Just Wanna Have Fun’

The American Idol alum went on to explain how the album came about as a result of her choice to enjoy life a bit more and give her devoted fans the same experience via her songs and live performances.

“I walked in [the studio] to write, and the first question out of my co-producer, David’s, mouth was, ‘What do you want to do?’ What are we doing?'” she recounted the moment.

The singer continued: “I said, I just wanna have fun. I wanna think about playing live shows. Going on tour and being in front of people and everybody just getting together and having a good time. I wanna have all of that in mind. I just wanna have fun.”

Carrie also posted the album’s cover photo, where she paired a denim mini dress with a tasseled jacket. Her long hair was styled loosely, and the title of her record was inscribed alongside her.

Fans subsequently rushed into her comment sections, singing her praises and showing how hyped they were about the new project.
One fan said: “I AM SO EXCITED!!! Literally just screamed when this notification came through. Looove the cover, Carrie!”

“Denim & Rhinestones”

Aside from expressing their excitement for the next album, several fans have asked whether the project will signal a new tour for the singer. Underwood, who just completed her Las Vegas residency, last went on tour in 2019 in support of her sixth album, “Cry Pretty,” with a part of the earnings going to a Haitian children’s foundation.
