‘Selling Sunset’ Star Vanessa Villela Marries In ‘Intimate Yet Grand’ Ceremony
“Selling Sunset” star Vanessa Villela and fiancé Nick Hardy tied the knot in an “intimate yet grand” fairytale wedding at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego in front of 69 guests. Villela, 44, felt it was the perfect spot to say “I do.”

The Wedding Was “Magical And Cinematic”
“I have very strong family roots within San Diego and the Fairmont was one of the favorite places for my late sister Jackie to visit,” she told Brides. “It seemed like the perfect place to bring the family back together.”
After choosing the perfect venue to start their lives as husband and wife, the couple planned their wedding to be as “magical and cinematic” as possible. “We wanted the event to be intimate yet grand, and to create something that would blow people’s mind,” she explained. “The most important thing for the both of us was to create a family that all came together to create an epic wedding. Every single vendor spent time speaking with us before they were selected.”
The couple chose a palette of blush, ivory and gold for their big day, and their invitation design captured the romantic vibe of the wedding. Their vision included a nighttime event with lots of candles under the stars.

The Event Was A Fairytale For The Couple And Their Guests
Upon arrival, guests walked into an “enchanted garden” with rows of white seats leading up to a flower-bedecked dome. The “Selling Sunset” star was walked down the aisle by her brother, Tony Ferrari. When it was time for rings, the couple recalls, “When the rings were requested, no one knew who had them,” but luckily that was a short lived issue when the page boy came running down the aisle holding a custom-made crystal box with the rings. After exchanging their vows, the couple released doves out of a basket.
After the wedding, guests headed to the reception where there were surprises around every corner. “We wanted our guests to be surrounded by the romance between us,” the couple said. “A giant LED screen presented video and photos of our beautiful love story with private behind-the-scenes clips from travels and amazing experiences that we shared together so far.” Their first dance was “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion played by a mariachi band. The reception was filled with music, dancing, and a three-tiered white wedding cake with special filling representing the couple’s British and Mexican roots.
How Their Happily Ever After Began
The reality star met the creative director and photographer in October 2020 online. “He was in England and I was here in L.A. It was an instant amazing connection we felt and after three months of beautiful friendship, we met in person in Mexico,” she said. “It has been a fairytale since then.” Villela told PEOPLE that the couple met through the Raya app. “I always dreamt of finding my soulmate as a friend, because I feel like that’s the most important thing you have to have in a relationship is friendship and a strong foundation,” she said.
In January 2022, Hardy popped the question at Los Angeles’s Griffith Observatory. “It was a very private and super romantic moment with just the two of us,” she said. “It was truly magical with the Hollywood sign in the background like a movie. Just like our love story.”
Villela posted about the evening on her Instagram page starting the captioned with, “Two souls one heart! I SAID YESSSSSS ?❤️❤️❤️❤️ One year ago I met the man of my dreams the one makes my heart skip every time, the man that makes me better in every single way, the man that I respect, adore, admire, and love with all my heart. You came into my life when I least expected it and you came to make my dreams come true. Our love story is like a movie and you are my prince!!”

Another Season of “Selling Sunset” For Villela?
Mexico-born Villela joined the cast of the Netflix hit reality show “Selling Sunset” in season 4. It was reported in June that the former soap star has not yet signed on for season 6 and 7.
