Queen Elizabeth II To Be Laid To Rest At Windsor Castle

In the meantime, Brits are still mourning the demised queen, who is the longest-serving royal in the history of Britain’s monarchy. Many have braved the rain which has fallen over the past few days, besieging Buckingham Palace to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who died at age 96 on Thursday.

Many brought bouquets, which they laid outside the gates of the iconic building. Mourners also rallied to pay respect outside other royal households such as Windsor Castle, Hillsborough Castle, Sandringham Estate, and Balmoral in the Scottish Highlands, where the queen died.

The queen will be buried on September 19 at the royal vault in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, just like her father, King George VI, and her mother, Queen Elizabeth-The Queen Mother, and her husband, Prince Philip.
