“Glee” Was Full Of Ridiculous Plots, But These 17 Moments Especially Tick Fans Off

We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us what Glee storylines still infuriate them. Here’s what they had to say!

Warning: MAJOR spoilers ahead!!! ?

Note: Some of the following mention disordered eating and gun violence.

1. First, when Quinn got into a serious car accident and began using a wheelchair, but then she was able to walk again after just a few episodes.

Fox

“The whole plot was ridiculous. She was suffering from an eating disorder — one that was primarily brought on by another member of the New Directions — and no one seemed to care beyond how it affected their competition.”

—ej_orenji

Fox

“I remember watching when her audition went horribly and she didn’t get the spot, and thinking, ‘Wow, that’s great for her character arc and development because now she’s gonna have to find something else to pursue.’ But then, they ruined it by having Rachel and everyone else chase and practically harass the evaluator into giving her a second chance. It was embarrassing at best and infuriating at worst.”

“Rachel getting into NYADA and Kurt getting rejected was infuriating. Character development happens when the character has to overcome an obstacle to achieve a goal, but the writers just did it for her.”

—andip4

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“It was terrible and excruciating to watch. It was so weird and boring, not to mention pointless.”

—peynor

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“She even taunted them with a Saw-esque puppet in order to make them get back together. Sue wasn’t that close to either of them, so why was she invested in their relationship? And since when did McKinley have an elevator?!”

—xavin

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“It was so random and insensitive and just felt like it was for shock factor. The fact that it aired only four months after the Sandy Hook shooting makes this episode all the more thoughtless and infuriating.”

—aries97

You can watch the scene between Becky and Sue here:

Fox

“He knew Marley suffered from an eating disorder. Will was a walking red flag.”

—abbydixon

“Schue suspending a recovering Marley from Glee Club for refusing to dress in a bikini that she felt uncomfortable in was really out of line and a weird plot point. If Glee Club was all about expressing who you were, why was she punished?”

—ej_orenji

Fox

“To this DAY, I am still mad about it!”

“Like, did they forget this was set in a high school?! I love Rocky Horror, but the whole thing was sooooo uncomfortable to watch. Honestly, a lot of the things Mr. Schuester did were VERY questionable looking back.”

“Karofsky literally threatened to kill Kurt.”

—wheresmymind

You can watch the scene where Kurt finds out here:

Fox

“Brody’s whole storyline was handled poorly. It could have been really good with better writing.”

—ahowell725

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“Kurt even said, ‘Bisexual is a term that gay guys in high school use when they want to hold hands with girls and feel like a normal person for a change.’ Umm, no, it’s not! They also majorly downplayed Brittany’s bisexuality and had Santana imply that all bisexuals are cheaters, which is an untrue stereotype.”

—lalalace1640

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“Tina and Mike were probably the healthiest couple on that show (most of the time), so the writers just had to break them up and make Tina desperate for attention and crush on Blaine. All because stability is overrated, I guess.”

—andip4

You can watch the scene where Tina confronts Blaine here:

Fox

“Artie could walk thanks to special crutches, and then, they immediately discarded that idea the next episode with a lazy, ‘Brittany bought them, so they broke instantly, oopsie’ explanation.”

—novacaineblues

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“The storyline where Tina hit her head and became Rachel and got to see how Rachel was actually the savior of the entire Glee Club? That was vile.”

—verityn30

You can watch the scene here:

Fox

“Kurt made it clear that he didn’t want to be with Blaine after he cheated. They went from 0-100 without much time to reconcile. I love Glee, and the plot lines were all ridiculous, but this one annoyed me the most.”

—pinkie_pie

Fox

“It came off more like the writers wanted to end everyone’s year off on a high point rather than just acknowledge that he was a pretty crappy educator.”

—jbmasta

Reminder that I, Kelly Martinez, do not necessarily endorse all of these opinions!!!
