‘Love Is Blind’ Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati Are No Longer Dating
Just days after it was confirmed that Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati were officially dating on “Love Is Blind: After the Altar,” Abrams, 30, has addressed the question on many people’s mind. He gave a much-anticipated update on where the two stand now as a couple in an Instagram Story.
Abrams Opened Up About His Relationship With Vempati
Abrams explained in his Story that the two decided to go their own ways earlier this summer. “I understand many of you are curious as to where Deepti and I stand today,” he started his statement. He went on to explain that the two “decided to go our separate ways in early summer.” He also thanked fans who followed their journey and supported them. He finished his statement by explaining he’s in a new relationship. “I have since embarked on a new relationship which I intend to keep private for a bit.” His next Story slide gave a comical update on how it’s going and included another “Love Is Blind” season 2 alum.
The Two Became A Couple While Filming The Reunion Special
In the recently released three-part “Love Is Blind: After the Altar” reunion special, Vempati, 31, and Abrams were seen contemplating taking their close friendship to a romantic level. In the final moments of the third episode, they decided to take that leap and give a relationship a shot. The two were hesitant to enter into a romantic relationship due to fear of losing the friendship they’ve built.
Vempati Has Not Released A Statement On The Relationship Yet
After the special was released, Vempati posted some highlights on her Instagram Story, which included her and Abrams looking like the couple many fans assumed was true for a while. And while she has not yet made any official statements about their current situation, her book, “I Choose Myself,” was just released.
She announced her book on Instagram with the caption, “The day has finally come—where I put my heart and soul out there for you to read. I’ve said this before: vulnerability connects us. I’m choosing to share moments of my entire life, both dark and light. I hope that by sharing my story, it resonates with at least one person out there to learn from my journey. I also hope that it inspires you to see that change is possible. Growth is possible. Choosing yourself is possible.”
Abrams Recently Discussed The Hesitation To Go From Best Friends To A Couple
“I put so much pressure on myself because I was like, ‘I don’t want this to fail.’ I was hesitant to jump in for that reason because she was my best friend. And if it doesn’t work out, you kind of lose the friendship. Because if you break up for whatever reason – and I wasn’t planning to breakup – but you always have to think about what happens after,” Abrams told PEOPLE. “I’ve been in that situation where you start dating your best friend and then you break up. You can’t really see that person anymore because it’s not fair to your future person. I wouldn’t want my current girlfriend to be hanging out with her ex-boyfriend. It’s not cool. I don’t think anyone would like that.”
