As one of the creators of Facebook, it made sense that the internet entrepreneur announced the expansion of his family on the social media platform. In his post, the 38-year-old shared a picture of himself and his beautiful wife, Priscilla Chan. The doting parents of two adorable daughters radiated joy as they snuggled in their home.

The lovebirds dressed casually in the shot, with the former pediatrician wearing a loosely-fitted top while her husband donned a hoodie. Zuckerberg grinned brightly as he posed for the snap with his hand resting on Chan’s stomach.

If the PDA-filled post did not melt viewers’ hearts, the New Yorker added extra sweetness with his candy-coated caption that read, “Lots of love. Happy to share that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year!”

Once the little girl arrives sometime in 2023, the baby will become the Facebook co-founder’s third daughter. The unborn member of the Zuckerberg clan will join her older sisters, 6-year-old Maxima and 5-year-old August.

The soon-to-be parents of three would probably celebrate their child’s birth with a touching post similar to August’s arrival in 2017. Following news of the 5-year-old’s birth, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative founders marked the memorable occasion with a heartwarming letter as shared by ET.

The sentimental note addressed to the newborn expressed her parents’ profound love. In the opening paragraph, the patriarch noted that he and Chan were “excited” to watch August’s growth.

After Maxima’s birth, the couple shared a similar letter about the type of world they wished to create for their firstborn. Instead of following this pattern, the spouses discussed the childhood they wanted August to have.

The pair confessed that the world could be a “serious” place to endure. However, the parents stressed that August needed to find time to play, read, and enjoy her childhood. According to the spouses, the time between infancy to adulthood was the biggest phase of life. The lovebirds wished their daughter would use this period well by bonding with Max and exploring the world.

Additionally, the doting parents hoped August would be a “great sleeper.” The dynamic duo admitted that they wanted the little girl to take plenty of naps and, hopefully, feel their love for her while dreaming. Zuckerberg and Chan concluded their message by reminding August to have a wonderful childhood without worries. The letter read:

“Childhood is magical. You only get to be a child once, so don’t spend it worrying too much about the future. You’ve got us for that, and we’ll do everything we possibly can to make sure the world is a better place for you.”

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan’s Fairytale Love Story

Most people dream of storybook encounters, the type of love stories depicted in films. While not everyone has these experiences, a lucky few get struck by Cupid’s bow. Zuckerberg and Chan are excellent examples of such fairytale romances that became a reality. PEOPLE recently looked back at how the iconic pair built their relationship to its blooming stage.

During their time as Harvard undergraduates, the couple bumped into each other at a party in 2003. While waiting in line for the bathroom, the future couple started talking and found a kindred spirit in each other.

Unable to deny their chemistry, the pair wasted no time becoming official. In 2010, the lovebirds took their relationship to the next stage by cohabitating. Chan moved into Zuckerberg’s home in Palo Alto, California.

May 2012 marked a momentous period for the lovebirds. Facebook went public, Chan graduated from medical school, and the couple surprised everyone with their wedding. Disguised as the former pediatrician’s graduation party, the Facebook co-founder and his wife tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by their loved ones.
