10 Times Celebs Were Awkward, Controversial, Or Both This Week

If you’re like me, you consume a lot of celeb news that involves celebs being awkward, controversial, or both.

Fox

Well, welcome to a new BuzzFeed series, where I brief you on all the times celebs did just that each week. Let’s get into it:

1. Well, obviously, we have to start with Adam Levine responding to claims from model Sumner Stroh, who said the two had a yearlong affair:

Audible boos were heard when Mayor Eric Adams presented at the Global Citizen Festival. Very awk. More awkward moments from the show here.

3. And House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was booed as well:

When talking about climate change, the crowd of 60,000 booed House Speaker Pelosi. More awkward moments from the show here.

4. Model Emily Ratajkowski posted this Instagram pic of her and her 1-year-old son Sylvester in a bathtub, which led to people in the comments criticizing her:

Why is this awkward? Well, Hilaria (real name Hilary) had a whole-ass scandal where she was essentially exposed for pretending to be Spanish, when in reality she’s from Boston. Full story here.

6. The full timeline of the Khloé Kardashian-Tristan Thompson scandal was revealed — and it’s, well, bad:

Hulu

In the episode, Khloé revealed a bunch. For starters, when Kim was on the phone with her initially telling her the news that Tristan had gotten another woman pregnant, Kim said it was a sign she shouldn’t have another child with Tristan. Meanwhile, Khloé and Tristan had already arranged their surrogacy treatment, and the surrogate was pregnant. In the episode, Khloé also insinuated that Tristan wanted their surrogate to be pregnant before news broke of him getting another woman pregnant. Yeah, it’s a lot. Full story here.

7. Greyson Chance called out Ellen DeGeneres in an interview with Rolling Stone:

NBC

“This is the first time I’ve been honest about her, and this is the last time I want to talk about it,” he said. “I’ve never met someone more manipulative, more self-centered, and more blatantly opportunistic than her.” Greyson also alleged that Ellen controlled everything about his career behind the scenes, including what he wore. “My whole week, my whole month, my whole year could change [with] one text message from her. That was horrible. If she had an opinion of any sort, the whole thing changed. … She would come in and look at a rack, yell at stylists, berate people in front of me and say, ‘This is what you’re wearing on the show.'” He also alleged she screamed at Greyson and his mother for not watching an advanced copy of Justin Bieber’s 2011 documentary she got for him. Full story here.

8. Bryce Dallas Howard revealed she was pressured to lose weight for Jurassic World: Dominion:

In an interview with Metro, Bryce said, “I’ve been asked to not use my natural body in cinema. On the third movie, it was actually because there were so many women cast, it was something that [director] Colin Trevorrow felt very strongly about in terms of protecting me. The conversation came up again: ‘We need to ask Bryce to lose weight.’ He was like, ‘There are lots of different kinds of women on this planet, and there are lots of different kinds of women in our film,’ and I got to do so many stunts that wouldn’t have been possible if I had been dieting.” Full story here.

9. Kris Jenner revealed on The Kardashians that she forgot she owned a condo in Beverly Hills, which obviously didn’t sit well with people:

Hulu

“I kind of forgot it was there. That sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?” she said, causing me to roll my eyes 500 times.

10. And lastly, Florence Pugh finally posted about Don’t Worry Darling and shared a pic of her and Olivia Wilde — and tagged her!
