Kelly Ripa Reveals Raunchy ‘Alternate’ Book Cover
Kelly Ripa, 51, is now adding “author” to her resume as her book, “Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories” officially hit shelves! In the book, the longtime talk show host shares real-life stories, ranging from the set of “Live With Regis and Kelly” to her home life with husband, Mark Consuelos, and everywhere between.
To celebrate, the “Live With Kelly and Ryan” host posted a hilarious photo to Instagram, dubbing it the “alternate” book cover.

The cover of “Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories” is a beautiful photo of Kelly Ripa, who is wearing a black button-down shirt and shiny pink skirt. The talk show host must have had a great time during the photoshoot for the book cover as she is sharing a never-before-seen photo with her husband, Mark Consuelos.
“Alternate cover for my book, Live Wire, but thankfully @instasuelos intervened,” Ripa wrote.

Fans and other celebrities love the photo as thousands commented on the post. Actress Cherly Hines commented, “Verified

Actor Dondré Whitfield hilariously punned Ripa’s book title when he commented, “Now that’s a Live Wire.”
Other fans chimed in as well as one user wrote, “You slay me daily,” while some even brought up Ripa and Conseulos’ daughter, Lola, who has been known for yelling at her parents and being disgusted at their relationship. “Oh boy, this will not be Lola approved … nope … lol ?,” one user wrote.

“Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories” by Kelly Ripa
“Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories” tells real-life stories of Kelly Ripa — ranging from the set of “Live With Regis and Kelly” to her home life with husband, Mark Consuelos, and everywhere between. Although many fans assumed this book would be a memoir, Ripa’s book debut is actually a collection of personal essays, and the purpose of the book is so that Ripa can finally share her side of the story, bringing fans along with her throughout her entire career — including the ups and the downs.
Within the book, Ripa shares relatable stories such as raising a family, dropping her kids off at college, and becoming an empty nester, but she also shares unrelatable stories when she brings fans into her Hollywood life — such as the one time she saved a woman’s life with Richard Gere at Jimmy Buffett’s house.
“I think there was an assumption that I just woke up one day and went into my fancy job,” she says, “then everything was an easy path and it was all handed to me, and I think that this book dispels that.”
“That’s really what this book is,” Ripa continued to explain. “Instead of looking at one aspect of a canvas, it’s zooming out and looking at the wider picture.”
