‘House Of The Dragon’ Star Fabien Frankel Thinks THIS Costar Is Sexy

“House of the Dragon” actor Fabian Frankel reveals that he thought co-star Matt Smith looked sexy while playing his character, Daemon Targaryen. Daemon is the prince of the Targaryen dynasty as well as the uncle of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emily Alcock).

The actor’s portrayal of the character has received a lot of praise while catching the eye of several fans. A recently released deleted scene revealed that Daemon might be as interested in men as he is in women.

Other characters raising eyebrows for their perceived sexual tension are Princess Rhaenyra and her childhood friend Alicent Hightower. The actresses themselves recently revealed that the duo seemed a bit in love with each other.

Fans are not the only ones to notice Smith’s outperformance in his role as “House of the Dragon’s” Daemon Targaryen. In a recent interview with The Times, the actor’s co-star, Frankel, revealed that he thought Smith was “damn sexy” in the series. “He’s the sexiest I’ve ever seen him,” the 28-year-old said.

Frankel plays Ser Criston Cole in the series and sheds some light on the first time his character had an alteration with Daemon. The event took place in the tournament in episode one, and according to the actor Smith said, the two characters could have unexplored feelings for each other.

The 28-year-old revealed that the duo “had a blast” while they shot the scenes and really liked each other. “I remember Matt saying, ‘Maybe they’re flirting, Criston and Daemon.’ It’s funny because I thought that in private, but I didn’t want to say anything in case it felt controversial,” he added.

Fans Speculate That Matt Smith’s Character Might Be Bisexual

In a recently viral tweet, Daemon was speculated to be bisexual. A Twitter user produced a blurry and deleted episode six scene from the “House of the Dragon” where the character could be seen standing in a corner with a long haired male servant. In a clearer shot of a scene from the show, Daemon was also shown starring affectionately at the same male servant.

The Twitter user who posted it, @oochotd, captioned the pictures, “Confirmed from this deleted scene, Daemon Targaryen is a bisexual king.” Fans of the show took to the comment section to talk about a picture in the post, which didn’t make it clear if the characters were kissing or merely cuddling closely.

Some comments picked offense at the as yet unaddressed storyline, calling it “queer baiting.” “If they don’t include it in the show, it’s just queerbaiting – and why is that even necessary when they have Laenor to work with?” they wrote. Another fan pointed out that “Daemon is NOT bisexual in the books.”

Other ‘House Of The Dragon’  Characters That Might Have Hidden Feelings On The Show

While there is still a shroud of mystery surrounding Daemon’s sexuality, fans kept themselves entertained with a separate canonically queer couple. Laenor Velaryon and Ser Joffrey Lonmouth seemed to have something going; however, Lonmouth was killed not long after he was introduced.

Rhaenyra and her childhood best friend turned stepmother, Alicent, were another couple fans thought had unexplored romantic feelings towards each other. The duo had an endearingly close relationship as teenagers; however, they stood on opposing sides as they grew older.

While talking in a round table interview, Emily Carey, Alicent’s character who is queer herself, revealed that after reading the script, she felt like the friends were “in love a little bit.”

Via Insider, she said, “I think any woman could think back to the best friend that they had at 14 years old, and it’s a relationship and a closeness unlike any other. You do toe the line between platonic and romantic.”

Milly Alcock And Emily Carey Almost Kissed

During a joint interview with The New York Times, Carey and Alcock revealed that in an episode four scene, they felt like they were about to kiss. The scene saw the duo reconnect with each other after a while and several issues pulling them apart.

Carey recalled, “I remember in rehearsal at the end of the scene, we were like, ‘Did you feel like we were about to kiss?'” Her co-star responded, “And I was like, ‘Yeah!'”

The 19-year-old went on to say, “Yeah, dude, it felt like we were going to kiss,” Carey continued. “That was really strange.” From the series’ onset, the two characters had a bond that seemed to be more than just friendship which, according to the duo, was placed there intentionally as a subtext.
