Whoopi Goldberg stars in the upcoming historical drama Till, but despite its positive reviews, one critic couldn’t look past her appearance in the film.

Whoopi plays Mamie’s mother, Alma Carthan.
ABCWhoopi went on to reveal that her weight gain was due to the steroids she was taking last year for her sciatica diagnosis.

ABCIt’s hard to believe that an actor’s weight would take away from this haunting retelling. I agree with Whoopi — if you’re going to review a film, review the film.
