It’s another Halloween season, and the ‘Hocus Pocus’ witches are already making waves!

The famous celebration or ‘All Hallows Eve,’ as it is sometimes called, is usually accompanied by many fall season activities, most especially the wearing of costumes and going “trick or treating.”

After the fun activity, most people cozy up to watch scary movies to set the mood for the season. Although there are many fan favorites to pick from to watch, however, Disney+ is already leading the way in choices.

Ever since its debut in the 90s, it quickly garnered a sort of cult following, which led to its sequel being made. According to PEOPLE, a follow-up of the movie was made after 29 years, with stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones returning for its sequel.

Disney+ revealed that the movie made by the Sanderson Sister became their number one movie to debut domestically. This is due to the massive number of hours it was streamed in the first three days of its release.

The famous cast includes Tony Hale, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Sam Richardson, Froy Gutierrez, Belissa Escobedo, and Hannah Waddingham. Midler told the platform they all knew the new story had more to give beyond the first film.

The Broadway actress reportedly told the publication that they “all wanted to do it” while noting that Parker pushed to make it happen. She added that after the first film grew in importance, they wondered why the creators did not give them a sequel.

“It wasn’t like a crazy, aggressive push,” she continued, “It was just that we felt that it had a life outside of what it had had. And eventually, 30 years later, they came to their senses!”

Parker recently told Extra that she would be open to signing on for a third Hocus Pocus if the 76-year-old was cast on board as well. “Bette is already starting rumors,” the “Honeymoon in Vegas” actress revealed as she spoke of a potential sequel. Adding, “I hitch my wagon to her star. Suppose she wants to do a third one. No one says no to the Divine Miss M.”

The “Sex And The City” star added that initially, she never thought there would be a sequel, unlike Midler. She said of her colleague that the “Wind Beneath My Wings” singer always believed that it was possible and was emotional in her wish.

A few months back, the “Hocus Pocus” executive producer Adam Shankman told PEOPLE that the three famous lead actresses just fit into place with each other while filming as if no time had passed between the 1993 version and its sequel.

He noted that “they were just laughing, laughing, laughing. It was easy.” Although the original was not necessarily as big a hit when it first came out, it eventually became the go-to Halloween movie due to its airing and availability on various streaming platforms each fall holiday.

Although the “Dark Shadows” star confessed to never returning to the entertainment company, Disney reportedly offered to go above the promised amount and donate a sizable donation to any charity organization of the actor’s choice.
