With the premiere of Dr. No in 1962, James Bond became an instant pop culture staple and helped usher in the super spy movie genre. Initially written in 1958 by author Ian Fleming as the sixth novel in the espionage thriller series, the first entry in the long-running film franchise took relative unknown Sean Connery and turned him into an international superstar and eventual Hollywood legend.

The men who have carried on the mantle of the character, from James’ stylish introduction to how he takes his enemies out, have etched their names in movie history and became synonymous with three simple words: Bond. James Bond. To celebrate Dr. No’s release, the official account of James Bond posted a supercut of James’ making himself known, from Connery to Craig.

The anniversary video shows all six men who played James Bond in the movies: Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. The latter also achieved superstardom with the series’ reboot starting with 2006’s Casino Royale, loosely based on Fleming’s first published outing with Bond in 1953. Craig also brought critical acclaim to the role, and along with 2012’s Skyfall saw the film reach win some Oscar gold as well.

Amazon, which recently acquired MGM, is set to release all of the James Bond filmography for the first time together on its Prime Video service starting this week. As No Time To Die, the 25th film in the franchise, saw the end of Craig’s run with the character, the studio announced it will take some time to find a replacement, and the search hasn’t officially begun just yet.
