‘Monday Night Football’ Protester Files Police Report Against Rams Players For ‘Blatant Assault’

During Monday Night Football, two protesters ran onto the field with pink smoke bombs as they attempted to disrupt the game on the field.

The two protesters ran onto the field in the middle of the San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams football game.

One of the protesters, a woman, was taken down almost immediately, but the male protester was able to avoid security for a little bit longer and even made his way toward the Los Angeles Rams sideline. It was then that Rams player Bobby Wagner and Takkarist McKinley slammed into him, knocking him to the ground and stopping him long enough for security and police to get a hold of him.

Another Twitter user chimed in, writing, “Wagner was just doing his civilian duties and protecting his teammates and fans from a lunatic who not only broke the law by coming on the field but ran with a smoke bomb. This would leave anyone to believe anything could be next. Gun, bomb, knife etc. Great job Mr Wagner.”

Why The NFL Fans Protested During Monday Night Football

According to reports, the two protesters performed the publicity stunt in order to “raise awareness for a trial involving the alleged theft of pigs from a factory farm.”

The organization stated that the man suffered a burn injury during the incident. “They’re a bit beaten up but in good spirits,” they said in a statement.

Videos of the protesters were shared all over social media almost immediately after it happened.
