Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is known as a playground for the rich and famous thanks to its lavish pool parties, pricy beach clubs and luxury hotels.

But, one resort is the most well-known in the region – the Burj Al Arab.

Since opening in 1999 the sail-shaped hotel has sat on its own island surrounded by the gorgeous, blue waters of the Arabian Gulf.

It’s home to some of the city’s best restaurants from Ristorante L’Olivo to an underwater eatery.

The hotel is also known for hosting VIP guests and celebs like Tiger Woods and Roger Federer.
