Are the Steelers a team to fear with the return of LB T.J. Watt?

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is set to make his return. Pittsburgh has missed LB T.J. Watt, but does he make the 2-6 Steelers a team to fear?

The Steelers have led the league in sacks every year since 2017. Pittsburgh has just eight sacks since Week 1 this season, tied for the fewest in the NFL.

Watt has brought energy back to the team and looks healthy coming off of their bye. The returns of Watt and S Damontae Kazee ‘seem to be an energizing force’ in the locker room, per TribLIVE.com’s Chris Adamski.

Steelers S Minkah Fitzpatrick expressed his relief with Watt and Kazee back in the lineup.

“Both of them are playmakers, so it takes the pressure off of myself and other guys to make plays,” Fitzpatrick told reporters. “Having our full defense back is going to help us out a lot.”

The return of Watt not only takes the pressure off of other players on defense but their struggling offense led by rookie QB Kenny Pickett as well.

Watt will look to make his presence felt once again as Pittsburgh is set to host the 3-6 Saints in Week 10.
