Tommy Fury given seven-day ultimatum to sign a contract to fight Jake Paul

Jake Paul has given Tommy Fury an ultimatum and said he must sign the contract for the pair's potential fight within the time frame of seven days.

The pair clashed in Dubai last weekend – with the Brit fighting on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather's fight with Deji.

The two had been supposed to face off last December and three months ago, but Fury pulled out of each one.

Paul has now agreed to fight in the UK as Fury is banned from travelling to the YouTuber’s home nation of America.

But Fury must agree to the terms this week, says Paul, who wrote on social media: "Dear Frank Warren, I agree to fight Tommy in Manchester or London in February. I’ll come to his country, no more running. His baby is due then and you’ve said it’s no issue. Since John (Fury's dad) is adamant we’ve agreed, I am giving you seven days to present a signed contract by Tommy or I’m moving on."

Fury's dad John claims a verbal agreement was reached at ringside in Dubai, with the senior saying. “Can I tell you one thing here, though. I walked him down, backed him in a corner and checkmated him. He’s agreed to a February bout, he shook my hand and he gave me his word of honour, his manager, that it’s happening in February.

“I said, ‘Listen, if you renege or back out, you’ll never live it down in your life’ and you can’t break a man’s handshake."

"Contracts mean nothing to me, but a handshake does and my word, you can build a tower block on it. He’s given his word, his manager, we fight in February.”

Fury had to pull out of the fight back in December after he broke his rib while training. They had rescheduled for August this year but Fury could not get to the press conference in New York as he was banned.

Paul instead fought Anderson Silva, putting the UFC legend to the canvas before winning on points.
