Stunned Man Utd learned of Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview on flight back from Fulham
Manchester United reportedly found out about Cristiano Ronaldo's bombshell interview as they were about to fly back from Fulham.
Hours after United had won 2-1 on their travels, news broke that Ronaldo had spoke to Piers Morgan and laid bare his thoughts and feelings about his situation. It came as a shock to fans – and to everyone at the club too.
According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, the Red Devils hierarchy only knew it had happened as they were preparing to travel back to Manchester after the Fulham game.

Erik ten Hag and the United squad are said to be "extremely disappointed" with the manner and timing of Ronaldo's interview and "don't understand" why he's said what he's said.
They feel his comments are disrespectful, with Ronaldo accusing the club of "betraying" him. Solhekol claims United will now likely explore all of their options, with there calls for Ronaldo to be sacked.

Ronaldo was supposedly told on Thursday (November 10) that he would not be in the starting XI for the trip to Craven Cottage, but would be included in the squad.
It was then that he told the club he was ill, which why was he was also absent for their Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford last week.
Speaking on talkSPORT this morning (November 14), Morgan revealed that Ronaldo had asked him for the interview "recently", but refused to disclose exactly when that was.
It seems it could have been after he was told he'd be benched for the Fulham match, with the World Cup break meaning he'll be away on international duty and unavailable for the next few weeks.
