Strictly’s Craig booked Maisie Smith for Broadway show ‘before she walked out the door’
Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood told This Morning he wanted to book Maisie Smith "before she walked out the door" after her audition for Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom the Musical Tour.
Speaking to presenters Alison and Dermot, Craig revealed he was so amazed by Maisie's audition that he wanted to book her immediately.
Craig, who directs and co-choreographs the musical, admitted it was a "no brainer" for Maisie and co-star Kevin to be a part of the production, having fallen in love with their dance skills when they starred on Strictly in 2020.

Maisie announced in an Instagram post that she'd be starring in the musical alongside her Strictly dance partner Kevin Clifton.
She revealed she was "so excited" to take on the role of Fran with her "great friend and first dance partner", but told This Morning viewers of her struggles when taking on the character.
