Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather once starting talking to a ringside commentator midway through his fight with Don Moore. Mayweather is back in the ring this weekend, as he takes on YouTuber Deji in his latest exhibition bout.

Mayweather has taken part in a number of mega-money exhibition fights since his retirement from professional boxing in 2017. He kicked off the trend by taking on another YouTube star in Logan Paul in June of 2021.

In 2022, the five-division champion continued to the trend by taking on former sparring partner Moore in May and Japanese MMA star Mikuru Azakura in September.

And it was in his clash with Moore that he showcased just how relaxed he is during his exhibition outings, after he entered conversation with the fight commentator during the action. The commentators were watching on in close proximity when the two Americans did battle in Dubai.

Mid-fight, they complimented Mayweather on his 'psychological warfare', commenting: "This is one of the things Floyd does best by the way. His psychological warfare." Taking everyone surprise 'Money' – who was fist-to-fist with Moore – looked over to the TV commentators, to respond: "Yeah I do."

The response left the commentary team in stitches, as Mayweather turned his attention back to the action. And it seems that the American star still has this relaxed mindset heading into his latest exhibition bout.

Speaking in the build-up to fight night, the 45-year-old revealed he was not 'training hard' and was instead just looking forward to having some 'fun' when in the ring on Sunday. He commented: "I’m happy to be back in the UAE, it’s always great to come here.

“I don’t ever really train that hard when it’s for an exhibition. But I look forward to going out there and just having fun.” His opponent Deji meanwhile is no doubt gearing up for one of the biggest moments of his life, when he takes on one of boxing's greatest ever fighters.

The YouTube star admitted he would be happy to land just one punch come fight night. He said: "I’m looking to land a punch. That would be amazing of course against the best defensive fighter in the world.

"So, I’m looking to have fun, I’m looking to showcase my skills and show what YouTubers can do. Me being in there with Floyd is only going to enhance my skills in boxing and push me further up the ladder. Then I’m going to keep dominating the YouTube boxing scene after."
