See The Powerful List Of A-List Celebrities Set To Appear In Hillary And Chelsea Clinton’s New Docuseries

In preparation for their upcoming docuseries, Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton, just released the guest list for the show. The list reportedly featured several A lists female celebrities who have been a source of inspiration to the mother and daughter and impacted the community and culture over the years.

In addition to their journey to interview these notable women, the series will also explore the mother and daughter’s relationship. Hillary’s self-titled documentary was previously released on Hulu and received critical acclaim for its work in portraying the senator’s 2016 journey as a presidential candidate.

Her new show, with her daughter, is based on her bestseller, “The Book of Gutsy Women,” and is divided into eight parts. The former First Lady of the State and daughter, Chelsea, are part of the executive producers of the show as well as the hosts.

Hillary Clinton’s Show Unveils Impressive Guest List

Apple TV+ docuseries, “Gutsy,” just released its impressive guest list in preparation for its September 9 launch. The series will be hosted by Hillary and Chelsea and will see the mother and daughter have intimate conversations with several celebrities. Some of the mentioned celebrities on the list include Kim Kardashian, Wanda Sykes, Kate Hudson, Jane Goodall, Megan Thee Stallion, Gloria Steinem, Goldie Hawn, and many others.

According to Apple’s description of the series, it would follow the Clintons on their “thought-provoking journey to speak with pioneering women artists, activists, community leaders and everyday heroes who show us what it truly means to be gutsy.”

The description continued, “The series shows Hillary and Chelsea as you’ve never seen them before, revealing their special mother-daughter bond and the unique, multi-generational way they approach the important and timely issues highlighted in each episode.”

‘Gutsy’ Is Based On Hillary’s Book

The docuseries is reportedly based on the former presidential candidate’s book, “The Book of Gutsy Women.” The eight-part series was first announced as a straight-to-series in late 2020. HiddenLight Productions handled the production of the work alongside Left/Right.

The 2018 book talked about how activists like Dorothy Height, Wangari Maathai, Edie Windsor, Malala Yousafzai, and Harriet Tubman inspired them. It also mentioned the impact of women from different niches like swimmer Diana Nyad, authors Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Rachel Carson and Mary Beard, and the historian Mary Beard.

Hillary and Chelsea are the executive producers of “Gutsy” along with Johnny Webb, Banks Tarver, Siobhan Sinnerton, Ken Druckerman, Roma Khanna, and Anna Chai. Chai is also a showrunner of the series. Kevin Vargas and Claire Featherstone are in charge of production, while Bari Lurie and Huma Abedin are the consulting producers.

Hillary announced the date of the docuseries on July 14 and revealed that she was anxious to share all their conversations with their interviewees. She wrote, “We’ve got a premiere date! “Gutsy,” a new eight-episode documentary series from me, @ChelseaClinton, and @HiddenLightPrd will premiere on @AppleTVPlus on September 9.”

“We can’t wait to share the conversations we had with some of our favorite, fabulous, supremely gutsy women,” she concluded. Chelsea wasn’t left out and broke the news to her followers via her Twitter page.
“Save the date!” the tweet read. “Over the past two years, my mom, @HillaryClinton & I have been talking with inspiring women from all around the world about their journeys and the issues they are championing. Join us on September 9 for the premiere of @HiddenLightPrd #GUTSY on @AppleTVPlus.”

‘Hillary’ Was Released In 2020

Despite this being her first film project with her daughter, this isn’t Hillary’s first foray into streaming. A documentary about the former First Lady titled “Hillary” was released in 2020 and is currently available to stream on Hulu.

“Hillary” was split into four episodes and released on the same day. Howard Owens produced the film and selected Nanette Burstein as his first choice to direct the film. She was given full editorial control over the project and the 2000 hours of footage of Hillary’s presidential campaign.

It premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was eventually selected to be played at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival. Overall, it received positive reviews from critics for exploring the 2016 presidential candidate’s life.
