Love Island and Made in Chelsea stars’ Latino ‘howling’ ends with pair in hysterics
Two reality TV stars are doing battle – to be crowned the best mariachi singer and dancer.
Love Island's Faye Winter and Made in Chelsea's Olivia 'Liv' Bentley spent time in a recording studio trying to master the effervescent, emotion-packed style of music that's native to Mexico.
They did so under the watchful eyes of Europe's only all-female mariachi group, Las Adelitas.
Faye's confidence took a bit of a hit when a pitch perfect mariachi demonstration from the band showed her exactly what is required from a Mexican grito – or in other words, a yell.
And when it was Liv's turn to take the mic, she gave it her absolute best shot and howled out a vocal so deafening that it sent Faye into immediate hysterics behind the scenes.
The Las Adeiltas members were impressed nonetheless.
They said: “We knew coming into this that we’d have our work cut out, but our time in the recording studio proved just how much it was going to take to turn these two into mariachis!
"It’s a big ask, but credit to Faye and Liv for both throwing themselves into it.”
The stars' singing efforts were filmed for episode two of Jose Cuervo's comedy mini-series, available to watch on YouTube.
