I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! has been hit with 1,967 Ofcom complaints, the broadcasting regulator has announced.

The show, which started on November 6, had its first run of Ofcom complaints on November 9 – when MP Matt Hancock was confirmed as entering the jungle with Seann Walsh.

72 complaints were submitted to the broadcast regulator, followed by 737 between the 12th and the 14th November.

Ofcom were then inundated with similar complaints across various days as they were hit with 1,159 Ofcom complaints in the week between November 8 to November 14.

Ofcom confirmed that 1,100 complaints were regarding Matt's presence in the jungle, while the others were due to his treatment from other contestants.
