Snooker fans have been left baffled by an "outrageous fluke" from Kyren Wilson that is somehow legal.
The Warrior potted the black in bizarre fashion during his last 16 match against world number nine Mark Allen at the UK Championship on Wednesday. Attempting to sink the black into the bottom right pocket, Wilson saw the ball ricochet off the pocket and up onto the edge of the table before it rolled along the cloth and dropped into the middle pocket.
Despite both players barely reacting to the incident by keeping calm expressions on their faces, the commentary team were shocked by what they had seen.

One of the commentators scoffed: “Well, that is one for the showreel at the end of the season isn’t it," before going on to add: “Unorthodox but effective and perfectly legal.”
However, snooker fans were less convinced that Wilson had meant the shot, with one tweeting: “Outrageous fluke you mean.”
Another added: “Couldn’t do that again if he tried.” Meanwhile, a third was unsure if the shot was legal, writing: “Does that actually count?”

One more viewer was impressed, though, as they commented: “Take a good look at the slow motion seen from above, it’s incredible.”
The unique shot proved to be in vain for Wilson, though, as he went on to lose 6-3 to Allen in their best of 11 frames contest at the York Barbican. As a reward for overcoming Wilson, the Pistol will now take on Sam Craigie in the quarter-finals.
Two-time finalist Allen has made his own headlines already at the tournament, which began on Saturday and will conclude this coming Sunday.
Earlier in the week, the Northern Irishman took a brutal swipe at fellow player Shaun Murphy following his rant at current world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan.
After Murphy had complained about neck and shoulder pain on social media, Allen delivered a sly put down as he responded: "Must be that chip on your shoulder doing the damage."
