Gary Neville left sprawled over table in hysterics at Roy Keane’s opinion of Saudi Arabia

Roy Keane left fellow pundit Gary Neville sprawled over a table in fits of laughter after a wise-crack about Saudi Arabia's chances.

The former Manchester United team-mates – along with Micah Richards – were talking as part of a Sky Sports promotion in the run-up to the World Cup when the Irishman unleashed a quip that had both in hysterics.

The trio spoke about the upcoming tournament in Qatar, dissecting each group.

Neville brought up Saudi Arabia, neighbour of the hosting country. He said: “Saudi Arabia will bring 10000 people over the border,” in way which suggested that the national side may have the home advantage.

But Keane shut such a notion down, commenting: “Well, they can’t play for them.”

The take down sent Neville and Richards into a laughing fit, with the former Red Devils right-back even bending forward over the table, unable to control himself.

After this, Neville joked about Roy Keane's 'best mate' Cristiano Ronaldo, following the attacker’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

Both he and Keane were team-mates with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner during his first spell at United, which ran between 2003 and 2009. In the broadcast interview, the superstar took aim at manager Erik ten Hag, the club and its chiefs, and even pundits such as Neville who had criticised him in the past.

The situation led to Ronaldo blanking the former United right-back ahead of kick-off for the sides’ clash with West Ham in October. However, fellow Sky Sports pundit Keane remains on side of the star.

Neville joked: "We have got Portugal [against] Cameroon. Cristiano, your mate, Roy."

Keane responded: "My best mate. If he's still there. Listen, if he's been taken off, he might have left by now." Neville then said: "You have got him on speed dial, haven't you? You have got him on speed dial."

Before Keane added: "Sorry for defending an ex-teammate. You know, I'd defend you Gary, if you behave like that."
