Gary Cahill flopped over finish line in hysterical sack race before retiring from footy
Gary Cahill has hung up his boots at the age of 36 – but he showed earlier this year he's still more than capable of playing on.
Back in the summer, after he'd left his final club Bournemouth, the former Chelsea and England defender competed in his child's sports day sack race. In a video shared to his social media accounts, he could seen neck-and-neck with another dad.
With a Champions League, two Premier Leagues, two Europa Leagues, two FA Cups and a League Cup on his CV, Cahill has certainly got a winning mentality – and he used it to great effect.

Refusing to be beat, he flung himself forward and flopped over the finish line to claim first place. He captioned the clip: "I just wanted it more!"
Cahill has kept himself in great shape but has been without a side this season and earlier today (November 16) officially announced his retirement with a lengthy post in which he declared: "I can honestly say I gave it everything I had."
He told Sky Sports: "Obviously, it's been a tough decision in some aspects but I think I just knew the journey had to come to an end at some stage. I just got the feeling that now is the right time.

"I did have options. I could have played in the Premier League with one side and I had a couple of options in the Championship which is flattering to still get the offers.
"But at the moment, as well as my career, my kids are settled at school and it would've meant moving again."
Cahill spent over seven years at Stamford Bridge after signing from Bolton in January 2012. He won virtually every trophy possible at club level while going on to make 61 appearances for his country.
After leaving the Blues in 2019, the centre-back spent two years with Crystal Palace, and then spent last season in the Championship with Bournemouth.
As for the future, Cahill said: "Everyone is different, and I'm not sure yet what I'll do. I want to take some time away and step back from football and just enjoy watching it.
"I'm conscious of not diving into something straightaway so I'll spend some time with the family. I'll make a decision on the next chapter in my life after Christmas."
