Steward dashes romantic footballer’s proposal dreams by shoving girlfriend
A romantic footballer's surprise proposal was ruined when a confused steward shoved his partner thinking she was a pitch invader.
FC Smorgon star Vladislav Shubovich invited his long-time girlfriend over to the sidelines during their clash against Belarussian rivals Volna Pinsk before dropping down on one knee.
With Shubovich beaming and his partner in disbelief, a steward in an orange bib came across and shove her backwards – before facing the wrath of the players.

With the steward quickly realising his error, the proposal could go ahead as planned with the pair hugging and kissing after the request was accepted.
Shubovich later took to Instagram to share confirmation of his engagement, with his gesture coming after he had scored in a 2-0 victory.

The defender, 22, rose highest in the 85th minute to score just his second career goal, before his clash with a steward left fans in stitches.
One said on Twitter: "Not everyone received the 'memo' of the proposal."
A second laughed: "He was just doing his job."
A third joked: "The security guard did not manage to save the player from the tragedy."
Another football themed proposal this season came when a fan phoned into Jason Cundy and Jamie O'Hara's talkSPORT show to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
"My missus is listening right, and obviously I wanted to propose tonight," said the besotted fan. "So I just wanted to shout out and say Cici will you marry me?"
Both Cundy and O'Hara looked baffled by the request, with Cici then joining the call before accepting the proposal.
