The end of an F1 season is a time for many drivers to relax and have a laugh after a long, hard season.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc provided some laughs after finishing second at the Abu Dhabi behind world champion Max Verstappen.
After 22 races and no longer needing to protect their cars, many drivers entertained the thousands of fans at the Yas Marina Circuit by performing ‘donuts’. They included the retiring Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, who is leaving McLaren and may have completed his final race in F1.

Leclerc did the same as he came back round to the start-finish straight for the podium ceremony. The Monegasque racer happily spun his Ferrari around with smoke billowing off his tyres.
Rather too much smoke it seems as Leclerc lost his bearing for a second, asking his team over the radio where the position two board was.
“Where is P2?” before adding “oh ******!” and then a relieved “there it is.”
To be sure, his engineer advised “on the right”, adding “bravo” once Leclerc had parked in the right spot.

It was mission accomplished in more ways than one for Ferrari and Leclerc, whose second place ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez saw him clinch the runners-up spot in the championship.
After a championship challenge which was derailed by a string of errors, it was a satisfying end to the campaign for the Scuderia.
“I was 110% from the first lap to the last lap,” said Leclerc. “It was the perfect result for us.
“I knew the only way to beat Perez was a different strategy and we managed to make the one-stopper work. I hope next year was can take a step forward and fight for the world championship.”
