Erik ten Hag's headaches at Manchester United look set to continue after Anthony Martial was reportedly involved in a bust-up with a youth player at Carrington.

United's World Cup break has been far from quiet following Cristiano Ronaldo's bombshell interview with Piers Morgan. And the Dutchman was seemingly forced to temporarily stop first-team training due to the bust-up involving Martial.

According to the Daily Mirror, Martial was one of the few first-team players involved in first-team training on Wednesday before being given a break. To supplement numbers, Ten Hag had drafted in a number of youth players to the session – including summer signing Dan Gore.

Gore reportedly clattered Martial with a strong challenge, that left the Frenchman far from happy with the youngster.

Martial is alleged to have lashed out and caught the teenager, who is said to have stood his ground against the 26-year-old. The pair were broken up – and Gore was warned by Ten Hag and his staff not to tackle first-team stars during training matches.

The Frenchman is believed to have apologised to Gore, who accepted his apology and made peace with the senior player.
