After his diagnosis with COVID-19, Ozzy Osbourne is recovering and “on the mend,” as confirmed by his lovely wife, Sharon Osbourne. The talk show host reportedly went to take care of her husband in the US, leaving her two-week-old British series “The Talk” behind.

Before the break, Osbourne had only released three episodes of the talk show, which airs on TalkTV on weeknights. She told the channel that she would be returning to LA urgently since “Ozzy was…diagnosed in the middle of the night, our time.”

Osbourne mentioned that she spoke to her husband “and he’s OK.” The host also expressed how worried she was about the illness, “I am very worried about Ozzy right now. We’ve gone two years without him catching COVID, and it’s just Ozzy’s luck that he would get it now,” she said.

Fans understood her concern since the 73-year-old Ozzy has recently dealt with other health issues. He reportedly struggled with a severe infection and pneumonia and was diagnosed in 2019 with Parkinson’s disease.

Osbourne also admitted how sad she was about missing her show. She said, “I can’t believe my luck. I’m missing the show and I’ve only been there three days. I can’t believe it. Three days and I’m missing the show but I will be back. I know I will,” she continued, assuring fans of her return.

She added, “It’ll take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again, and I will be back in a week. We’re gonna get a negative test by next week.”

Ozzy On His Other Health Issues

The rock star Ozzy has opened up to fans about his health issues in the past. He spoke about his Parkinson’s diagnosis in February 2019. During a “Good Morning America” appearance, his wife explained, “It’s PRKN 2. There’s so many different types of Parkinson’s; it’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body.”

She also said, “And it’s like you have a good day, a good day and then a really bad day.” When asked about how he felt, Ozzy explained, “I got a numbness down this arm for the surgery, my legs keep going cold. I don’t know if that’s the Parkinson’s or what, you know.”

Osbourne also told fans that they’d seek medical care outside the country. In response to this, the singer expressed how “lucky” he was to be able to afford overseas treatment. He also assured fans that he was “far from” dying and couldn’t wait to create some new music.

Sharon Was Grateful To Fans

69-year-old Osbourne appreciated fans for the love and support they showed her husband. She made an Instagram post informing fans about Ozzy’s illness, and a handful of celebs commented and wished the star a speedy recovery. The well-wishers included Juliette Lewis, Paula Abdul, Amanda Kloots, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Leslie Jordan.

Ozzy Was Relieved When He Got The Vaccine

About a year ago, Ozzy spoke about the “relief” he felt from getting his first vaccine for the virus on Loose Women, a British talk show. The vaccine was released a couple of months after Osbourne was hospitalized for covid in 2020.

He previously expressed how worried he was that he hadn’t been vaccinated, given his delicate health condition. As Yahoo UK reported, when asked about it, he told SiriusXM, “I want to get the shot. I look at it like this — if I don’t get the shot and I get the virus, there’s a good chance I ain’t going to be here.”

He was delighted to announce that he had finally been vaccinated. When asked, Osbourne laughingly said, “Of course. He only had it yesterday. On his part, Ozzy said, “As soon as I got it, I felt relieved. It felt like I was being stabbed. My arm was hurting yesterday, but I’m glad I got it, you know?”
