A beloved boxer dog, who starred in a 2016 TV Christmas advert for John Lewis has sadly passed away aged 12 after suffering a series of seizures.

Biff, who found fame as 'Buster' six years ago died in the early hours of Monday morning (November 21) with his owners saying "fly high our beautiful boy".

The pooch won the hearts of the nation when viewers saw him bouncing on a little girl's trampoline present on Christmas morning on the famous ad.

Wild animals were then seen looking on in envy as Biff rejoiced in his time with the new toy.

Heartbroken owner Jan Patten took to social media on Monday to pay tribute to her faithful hound, writing: "Fly high our beautiful, special boy, we shall miss you forever."
