Heartbreak High’s Josh Heuston & James Majoos Step Out For GQ’s Men of the Year Awards

Josh Heuston and James Majoos hit the red carpet at GQ’s Men of the Year Awards held at Crown Sydney on Wednesday (November 23) in Sydney, Australia.

The Heartbreak High stars were among the Australian celebs in attendance at the event.

Also stepping out were 5SOS’s Luke Hemmings, Elvis star Olivia DeJonge, Keiynan Lonsdale, Aisha Dee and singer Ruel.

Josh was actually honored with Breakthrough Actor of the Year, while Olivia was named Woman of the Year.

Check out quotes from their speeches inside…

“This is a weird full-circle moment for me,” Josh said in his acceptance speech, via GQ Australia. “I used to work at a news agency in Baulkham Hills, and every shift I would sit there and flick through GQ, and read about the ‘Top ten watches of the year’, or ‘How to get big biceps like Hugh Jackman’. To be sitting here, or standing here I guess, and accepting this [award] for that 15-year-old kid.”

“To be supported like this is not something that I take very lightly,” Olivia said in her speech. “It feels crazy to receive an award like this—Woman of the Year—because I feel like I too am just figuring out who I am as a woman.”

“Please don’t stop consuming art, seek out art that challenges you, that starts up conversation, that reframes your way of thinking. It is the lifeblood of society and it is so important, especially right now, so thank you so, so much,” she added.

If you missed it, Heartbreak High will definitely be back for a second season on Netflix!
