1. Vampire Academy, Richelle Mead

What it’s about: Based on their memoir by the same name, the series follows twin sisters throughout high school in the ’90s as they discover their love for music and find fame.

What it’s about: Author Lizzy Goodman chronicles the “rebirth of rock and roll,” following a variety of huge artists within the New York music scene at the start of 2000 spanning forward.

What it’s about: Based on Roberts’s 2012 historical romance novel, My Policeman is set in 1950s Brighton, England and follows Tom, a policeman who finds himself spending more and more time with a young man named Patrick and a young woman named Marion.
