The night before her first show, the queen of heartbreak anthems shared a BTS photo of herself on the set of her show.

Adele admitted she’s “incredibly nervous,” but in the same breath said that’s a good sign.

Adele Has Opening Night Jitters!

“I’m feeling all sorts as I write this. I’m highly emotional, incredibly nervous but can’t sit still because I’m so excited. I feel a million miles away from home, I can’t stop thinking about when I was little and saw Tom Jones in Mars Attacks and thought blimey how did he get from Wales to Las Vegas!?” she wrote on Instagram. “I always get scared before shows, and I take it as a good sign because it means I care and means I just want to do a good job. Maybe it’s because I didn’t start when I was supposed to. Maybe it’s because it’s opening night, maybe it’s because Hyde Park went so great, maybe its because I love the show I don’t know. But it’s safe to say I’ve never been more nervous before a show in my career, but at the same time I wish today was tomorrow!”

This residency has been a LONG time coming.

Adele was set to kick off her Vegas residency in January, but at the last minute cancelled it. This caused an absolute uproar among her fanbase given many had traveled from far and wide to see her.

In an emotional and tear-filled video, Adele explained why she had to cancel.

“My show ain’t ready,” she said. ‘We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you. But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.”

Following the backlash, the singer admitted she struggled for months.

“The first couple of months were really, really hard,” Adele said. “But it actually made my self-confidence grow, because it was a very brave thing to do. And I don’t think many people would have done what I did. I’m very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs.”

Adele has admitted her canceled ‘WWA’ show was the “worst moment” of her career.

“It was the worst moment in my career by far. I was so excited about those shows. It was devastating,” she admitted.

Adele claimed the show “lacked intimacy,” and she felt “disconnected” from her band.

Months later during an interview with Elle, she explained that canceling the show was the best thing she could’ve done.

The songstress said her new show will tell the story of her career. It will serve up major “nostalgia.”

“I want to tell the story of the beginning of my career to now. I’m not gonna give too much away about it, but the show grows,” she revealed. “It’s all about the music, and it’s really, really nostalgic. It’s gonna be so beautiful.”
