‘I’m 39 and single – people tell me I’m a leftover woman but I know what I want’

A woman in her late 30s said people tell her she's a "leftover woman" because she's single and childless, but she couldn't be happier in her own skin.

Claira Hermet, 39, from east London, started making videos about single life on TikTok and since created a space for single women to feel loved and empowered.

The radio presenter started creating content about single life around two years ago, and it's since gone down a storm on social media.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Claira said the first video she made was simply a clip of herself standing there telling people she's 37 and single.

She also noted she was childless and had never married, and it generated a response she never expected.

When she posted the clip she had no intention of making it a focus of her social media content, but said the response was "amazing", so she knew she had to do more.

Many women told her they thought what she was talking about was great, but said the comments also poured in with some hate attached to them.
