Actors Ben Platt and Noah Galvin have taken their relationship to the next level.
The pair, who both played the lead in the Broadway musical, “Dear Evan Hansen,” had been in a relationship for over two years before announcing their engagement on their Instagram page to their fans on Friday.
They both shared pictures of themselves from the romantic proposal, along with cute captions that showed their commitment to each other.
In the comment section of their post, friends, colleagues, and fans congratulated the duo on their engagement.

‘He Agreed To Hang Out Forever’
On Friday, Platt and Galvin took to social media to announce that they are now engaged after a few years of dating. The pairs shared cute photos from the memorable event, which marked a new level in their romantic relationship.
In one photo, the duo could be seen looking deeply into each other’s eyes and touching themselves affectionately. The background in which the picture was taken was surrounded by beautiful flowers and alluring lightning, setting the right mood for the proposal.
A second picture captured Galvin showing off the glimmering engagement ring made of gold on his left hand. Another one captured the lovebirds sitting on the floor in each other’s arms while smiling cutely for the camera.
Platt penned in the caption of his own post, “he agreed to hang out forever, “cryptically announcing the engagement. In a similar vein, Galvin wrote on his page, “I said yeehaw and then cried for like 7 hours.”

Following the engagement announcement, fans of the duo took to the comment section to pen heartfelt messages to congratulate them on their new status.
Many of the pair’s celebrity friends and former colleagues also sent their best wishes to the newly engaged couple.
“BEN ! Congrats to you & Noah !! Mazel tov darlings,” penned a fan, alongside a couple of heart emojis.
Another fan commented, “WHAAAAATTT!?!?!? Rah rah sis boom bah! And a [sic] 76 trombones to you both!!!”
One close friend wrote, “Fuck yea!! I had a feeling this was coming. So happy for you two,” adding an engagement ring emoji to the post.
Another follower penned, “wow, congratulations times a million!!! You both look so HAPPY,” while another said, “Couldn’t be happier for the two of you. Love you.”
Ben Platt And Noah Galvin’s Relationship Timeline
Platt and Galvin met on the set of the Tony-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen” in November 2017. At the time, Platt was rounding off his run as the lead in production, and Galvin was set to step in as his replacement.
The pair subsequently developed a quick connection which grew into a close friendship. A few years later, their relationship blossomed into a romance, which became public knowledge in May 2020 during Galvin’s appearance on the “Little Known Facts with Ilana Levine“ podcast.
On his part, Platt confirmed the relationship during his June 2021 appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“We were friends for five years, and right before the pandemic, we finally decided to really give it a shot. We kind of skated around it for a long time,” he said, per People.

Before their engagement, Platt and Galvin constantly thrilled their fans with sweet tributes to themselves on social media, showing off how much they love each other.
For Galvin’s birthday this year, Platt wrote a passionate post affirming his love for the “Good Doctor” actor.
He wrote, “Happy birthday my guy. you’re the most special gift the universe has ever whipped up. thank goodness you were born. I love you so much.
In January, Platt also penned another lovely post to mark the second-year anniversary of their relationship.
“Happy 2 yr anniversary my king. you’re the loml, and you make every day special,” the actor posted at the time, alongside a cute video of his partner baking a dish. “I love you more than this tahdig & arroz con pollo hybrid you invented.”
