NeNe Leakes is giving fans more updates about her son Brentt Leakes following his miraculous recovery from a severe health scare.

In a series of Instagram Story posts, the reality star detailed her son’s touching health journey, from the day he suffered a severe heart attack to his recovery, which she enthusiastically credited to God.

NeNe Leakes Details Son Brentt’s Health Journey In Multiple Snaps

“My son [sic] life changed,” NeNe wrote on one of her posts before adding “Sept 26,” signifying the date the change happened.

One throwback video then showed Brentt in perfect health as he could be seen walking towards her in the hospital’s hallway with people applauding him in the background, including the nurses.

Someone could be heard in the clip saying, “We love you, Brentt,” while one of the nurses hugged him as NeNe gushed, “So happy for you.”

In the following post, the 54-year-old mother penned, “To God be the Glory,” after which she shared a video of her son, captured from his back and showing him walking towards the hospital’s lift. She noted with excitement that Brentt was walking out on his own while she also expressed gratitude to a group of nurses who congratulated the family on the 23-year-old’s recovery.

NeNe further said, “You have no idea how Brett came in here; two months later, Brentt is walking out. Hallelujah.” And upon getting to the lift, she told her son he could take off his medical band, given that he was no longer a patient.

With a grateful heart, the businesswoman confirmed via another Story post that her son was “walking and talking” while she expressed “Nothing but God” across an ensuing picture. The snap showed her looking down at Brentt, who was lying unconscious on a hospital bed with several wires attached to him.

Thankfully, the February-born recovered just in time for the holidays, which NeNe pointed out in another update before wrapping up with a video of Brentt “learning to walk again.” In the clip, he was attached to a machine assisting him with the walking process. His bandaged legs moved on a treadmill-like device while he held onto the featured bars.

At the same time, his upper body was held up by another part of the machine. During the process, his trainer asked if it was difficult, and he admitted that it was slightly challenging.

The trainer then wanted to confirm if the process was tolerable, and Brentt, looking pretty fit despite the stroke, nodded his head.

Brett’s recovery was undoubtedly a delight to his mother, who was naturally over the moon as she hosted a party for him after his release from the hospital.

Last month The Blast reported that the reality star shared some highlights from the event on her Instagram Story with the man of the hour in high spirits and looking as fit as ever. He could be seen posing in front of the party’s venue, a lounge owned by him and his mom, while a crowd was in a long queue to gain entrance.

The “RHOA” alum’s son was dressed casually for the party as he wore a white polo and skinny jeans paired with white sneakers and a black baseball cap, turned backward.

He could not help but beam brightly for the camera in the picture captioned, “We are partying for Brentt tonight @kingbrentt.” The mother-and-son duo partying was warranted as, especially since NeNe almost lost her beloved son.

The OG Bravo housewife broke the news of her son’s health scare on her Instagram Story in early October. She revealed, “Two weeks ago today, Brentt had congestive heart failure and stroke; he’s only 23, so he’s really young for something like that to happen to him.”

NeNe added that several tests were run on her son, including a drug and alcohol test; however, he was clean, which she knew already. At the time, she noted he was struggling with speaking.

With tears in her eyes, she drew up all the possibilities that could have led to his condition and even noted that the health professionals were still trying to figure it out despite all the testing.
