Tv personality and mother of one Coco Austin just informed the public that she intends to continue looking sexy while being a mother. The model is married to rapper Ice-T, and they have been together since 2002.

For the past few years, Austin has been under some scrutiny due to her unconventional parenting methods while raising Chanel, her only daughter. She was previously blasted for still feeding the six-year-old; however, she said it was to help them bond.

The model faced similar criticism earlier this year for taking Chanel out on a stroller instead of having her walk. Austin responded to the comments and asked that they focus on other issues.

‘I Can Still Have My Sexiness And Still Be A Mother’

While talking to Tamron Hall in a recent interview, Austin made it clear that she thought being sexy and fulfilling mom duties could go hand in hand. She disclosed that she didn’t think people necessarily had to make significant changes after giving birth to a child.

Austin explained, “I think people thought, being Coco, I was gonna have a child and start dressing different [and] acting different, but it’s like, I’m still myself but a motherly self.” She continued, “I can still have my sexiness and still be a mother. I don’t have to shut that down.”

The actress further said that the fact that she wore tighter clothes didn’t make her dumb. She added, “This is the way I feel good,”

Coco Austin Says She Is Under A Microscope

Austin talked about how much pressure she felt as a mother “all the time.” The model was in tears while explaining that she constantly felt inspected and only the bad things were sought out. “I’m underneath a microscope all the time, and you don’t hear what good you do,” Austin said. “You just hear a lot of bad. And I know I’m a good mother.”

She talked about moments last year and earlier this year when she was slammed online for how she raised her daughter Chanel. “It’s not a nutritional thing. It’s more of a bonding moment for us,” Austin explained of still breastfeeding her child.

Concerning the outrage at her for carrying her six-year-old around in a stroller, the model revealed that it was so she wouldn’t have to carry Chanel later on. “If she wasn’t in a stroller, she’d have asked me to carry her,” she said. “I thought this was the last picture someone would attack me [for].”

Over the past few years and on different occasions, Ice T has declared his love and support for his wife despite the onslaught of issues. He sent a video to Hall to play during the interview, where he praised Austin for her parenting methods. “You are the most incredible person I’ve ever met, the nicest person I’ve ever met, and the best mother to Chanel that anyone could possibly imagine,” the rapper said via E! News.

Coco Austin Was Criticized For Carrying Chanel In Stroller

Earlier this year, Austin was slammed by online critics after the tv personality took her six-year-old out in a stroller during a family’s day out. She posted pictures on her Instagram page of them on a shopping trip with Chanel sitting down in her stroller.

Austin’s post was captioned, “A stroll through the @atlantisbahamas shops. Chanel is so over it unless there’s something cool to see. Her face transitions instantly.” Several social media users seemed to take offense at the six-year-old sitting in a stroller and said as much.

The tv-personality was, however, not having it and said as much in a Twitter post. A few days later, she blasted people for constantly criticizing her options and advised that they focus on more important things. “Oh lord!! Really people? The world loves to criticize literary [sic] everything I do!” Austin wrote.

“Isn’t there a war & mass shootings going as we speak & you’d rather mess with my mothering? SMH,” the model added, referring to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and the Robb Elementary School tragedy.

Coco Austin Was Slammed For Still Breastfeeding Channel

In a separate incident in 2021, Austin was again slammed for her parenting skills. Mid-last year, the model shared a post that showed her breastfeeding her then-five-year-old daughter. While talking to US Weekly, she revealed that breastfeeding had a different purpose, and she wouldn’t stop until her daughter said so.

Austin said, “Chanel still likes my boobs. It’s a big bonding moment for a mother and your child.” She added that although Chanel eats “steak and hamburgers” often, she “likes a little snack every now and then.”

The tv-personality continued, “Why take that away from her? … If she doesn’t want it, all right, that’s where you stop it. But I’m not just going to say no.” Ice-T, Austin’s husband, defended her and said it was their bonding time. According to him, being breastfed was Chanel’s attempt “to get close to her mom.”

Chanel also occasionally slept in her parents’ room most nights. “We call it the family bed,” Austin explained. “We have Chanel and all four dogs.”
