Corrie Johnny Briggs’ daughter and granddaughter accused of ‘attacking women for £20’
The daughter and granddaughter of late Coronation Street star Johnny Briggs are accused of assaulting two other women for £20, a court heard.
Karen Briggs, 53, and Emma Beach, 34, are accused of attacking Sophia Walston and Amanda Gaye on October 25 and stealing the money from one of them, Amanda Gaye.
Both defendants appeared at Guildford Crown Court today and deny charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and theft.

Briggs and Beach were granted conditional bail and have been banned from entering Surrey except for court appearances and for hospital appointments.
The trial is set for October 16 next year.
